Brenda's Story

I have lived at Trussville, AL, Center Point, AL, Pell City, AL, St. Louis, MO, Tucson, AZ, Mobile, AL and now, finally back to Pell City again. After gettting bored with hairdressing, I hit the road as a portrait photographer for 11 years. I then joined a family business with my Sister. We escorted oversize freight all throughout the country. It was a wonderful experience, hard work, but fun too. That is where I met my real soul mate, Wayne. I went to truck driving school and started driving team with him. We hauled everything but did the best on Munitions. I hurt my back on 55 lb boxes of dynamite and went home to Tucson where we were living at the time. Wayne went back to heavyhauling and two years later got a major back injury. We made our way back to Mobile bay then my brother called for help with Mother and Daddy. Wayne and I came to Pell City about three and a half years ago. Daddy passed away two years ago and Mother is very dependant on us. We are hanging in there! Update: Happy New Year! 2013 Well, 2012...Expand for more
was quite a year. I had some major back issues. Finally, August 31st, I had major back surgery. My surgeon told me that when he got in there he found that all my nerves were a twisted and tangled mess. A disc had slipped out and done all that damage. It took him 4 hours to untangle all those nerves and put them back where they belong. He did a fusion and put a bone stimulator on me. I will wear that until the end of Feb. he must be a great surgeon because I am running strong now. I am back to doing anything I want to. Yea!!!! Thank The Lord for that. I'm still caring for my Mother and Wayne. Mother's memory problem is worse than ever now. She is like a child, pretty much. She can't remember anything, short term. I think I must have her problem too. My memory gets worse every day. I can't remember a lot of my childhood now. Oh, when I am reminded of things, It sometimes brings things back but not always. If anyone would like to message me, I would love to hear how you are doing now. I hope you all have a great year!
